Katie Waterhouse was born in Indiana in 1983 and has lived in North Carolina since 1987.  She grew up in Buie’s Creek, a small town in Harnett County and moved to Greensboro, NC when she was 18 to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  After graduating in 2005 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Design she stayed in Greensboro to pursue her art career. 

Katie loves photographing landscapes and finds photographing people the most difficult, but is up to the challenge.  Since her graduation she has had several commissions in portraiture and continues to learn more and more with each experience. 

Katie enjoys traveling and has spent a lot of time in England and Northern Ireland.  She hopes to see the rest of the world as soon as she can!  She likes to try new things, visit new places, listen to music, meet new people, and spend time with friends and family.  Her strength comes from her friends and family whom support her in all her efforts. She hopes to have a positive influence on everyone she meets and inspire others to surround themselves in beauty.
